Introduction | I used to be a professional triathlete when I was young and single and childless, then I got married and had a baby and starting coaching along with teaching and forgot about triathlon for while. After coaching some pretty inspiring kids and wanting Ruby to realize how much her mom rocks I decided I needed to get back to pursuing my athletic dreams before it was too late. I made a couple of very close attempts at trying to qualify for the Olympic trials in the marathon while my personal life was falling apart-2:47.56 & 2:48.10. A year or so of injury followed before it seemed like time to get back to triathlon. Now I'm a mom and teacher and coach chasing down my next set of dreams by trying to kick ass at Half Ironmans and marathon with my family cheering me on! |
