| Introduction | My "NorthwoodsRiverRunner" blog is devoted to journal entries and pictures from various outdoor adventures. Having grown up in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan, water and forests are in my blood. That has continued in the Great Lakes region where my wife and I raised a son and daughter in the Illinois-Wisconsin Stateline Area. |

| Favorite music | I didn't listen to much music until later in high school & into college, but I've made up for it since then! While I often listen to hard rock, I also enjoy something as simple as symphonic (a result of HS/College band), John Denver, Adele (love their voices), or most "Top 40" stuff from the 80's-90's. |
| Favorite books | I tend to read non-fiction for the most part. Favorite Authors Are: John Gierach, Sigurd F. Olson, Sam Cook, Aldo Leopold, Charles Martin, J.R.R Tolkien, Robin Wall Kimmerer, and Mel Ellis. |
