| Introduction | My name is John Legg, though most people call me Jack. I have written more than 50 Western novels and one nonfiction work on the Old West as well as a number of articles in national magazines, also on the Wild West. The mountain man period of the 1820s and '30s is my favorite period, though I have written many traditional (post-Civil War) Westerns. I've also been a copy editor for more than 30 years. |
