IntroductionHello, My name is Matthew Miller and I am the owner of the Blairsville Cutoff in HO Scale. I have been interested in trains for as long as I can remember. My dad used to work for the Chessie System in the 1970's as a conductor until he was furloughed and then he became a police officer. I have two older siblings. My brother was a engineer for Norfolk Southern and my sister works from home. Needless to say my brother followed in our dads footsteps with the railroad. I myself chose a different path for myself. I became a volunteer firefighter at the age of 16 following in the footsteps of my great-grandfather, grandfather, dad, and brother. I have since hung it up being a firefighter due to a ankle injury. Since then I have had a total of 5 surgeries to correct the problem. I have been collecting HO Scale locomotives and cars pretty steadily over the past couple years to slowly build up my fleet for the future model railroad. I am currently in the planning stages of the railroad and I am working on getting the fleet up and in running order. So please follow along on this journey of mine.
