Introduction	I'm currently working on my Ph.D in Cancer Cell Biology at WVU. Why would I put myself through that kind of torture you ask? Good question. It seemed like a good idea at the time. But with my proposal looming, I forget just exactly what the word "good" meant.

When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?

No. I'm not that big of a fan of roses. Lilies and daffodils are my favorites. Them I might have tried to save.
