Introduction	I'm a career television producer and reporter who now makes media products in all their various forms for people who need them. I write about the media and about our son Vance's autism, and about what public schools can and should do for children with autism.
Interests	Fairness, good manners, rules. Aggressively (but politely) managing the role our public officials play in our lives. Sports, do-it-yourselfing, raising awareness about Autism and its impact on child-rearing.
Favorite movies	Local Hero, Unforgiven, all the Sigourney Weaver Alien movies, Blade Runner, any great, sweeping sci-fi epic; Serenity (also loved the TV series, Firefly); Schindler's List, way too many more to mention but these are some of the top few.
Favorite music	Whatever I can use to rouse myself to go to the gym.
Favorite books	Books? Who still reads books? It's the blogosphere for me, baby! (Actually, my current books include a book on economics by Thomas Howell and the baseball book "Nine Innings."
