Favorite music	Bright Eyes: “Love’s an excuse to get hurt. And to hurt. Do you like to hurt? I do, I do. Then hurt me.” Linkin Park, Hole, The Shins, The Clash, Radiohead, The Beatles (Of course!) Nirvana, Pearl Jam (”Black” is one of my all-time favorite songs.) Many more - too many to mention.
Favorite books	Favorite authors: Toni Morrison/Ann Tyler/Alice Hoffman/Amy Tan/Jane Smiley/etc. - Not chick lit, but lit by chicks. Stephen King - Escapism from the horror of real life. John Irving - Quirky. Fyodor Dostoevsky - Thank you, Mrs. Dowd! (10th grade English teacher who introduced me to Dostoevsky’s work) Pat Conroy - Dysfunction rules!
