Introduction	The committe was formed in 1966 by Mr Charles Simeons, as a local committee. Mr Simeons stepped down as chairman in 1982, who was then replaced by Mrs Betty Willett. In 2002 CRC merged with Imperial Cancer Research fund to form Cancer Research UK. There is the annual Betty Willett 10km run in May every year,this started in 1982 at Whipsnade Zoo, moving to Stockwood Park in 1998, which to date has raised £300,000.00. With other events the committee has raised £1,376.000.00.
