| Introduction | A menagerie of eccentric bioprocess technologists - each unique and special in his or her own way. We are like a bowl of 'ais kacang' with the different condiments that make up the wholesome dessert or better yet, a plate of 'rojak' with the varied tropical fruits held together by a gratifying sweet-and-tart gooey sauce. Don't let the sweet facade fool you into thinking that we are just all fun and games and not serious in what we do. Ever heard of the tiny cili padi that packs a punch? That's us. Kecil-kecil cili padi. When push comes to shove, we will be professional and methodical in our work. In fact, we are very passionate in constantly discovering and learning the vast, intricate oasis revolving around bioprocess technology every single day. Acquiring knowledge is a life-long affair and what is the point of keeping it drab and boring when we can have a good time along the way. Sweet and spicy with a little bit of spontaneity thrown in - that certainly best sums up who we really are, which was how the name of our group came to be. Fermented rojak with sambal? Surely, nobody in their right mind can resist that. Honestly, aren't you the least bit curious? |
