| Introduction | Hi, my name is Gerrie and I live in an old dairy barn in the middle of a field in North Eastern Iowa. My 3 children are grown and presented me with 6 grandchildren. My husband, Don, is a retired farmer and used to milk cows in this old barn. Now he is a collector of old tractors and cars. After more then 30 years of operating a design studio with workrooms for upholstering and curtains, I decided to change careers. That was about 12 years ago when I opened our remodeled old barn as a bed and breakfast. Too bad I was not ready to give up the decorating business just yet. It gets a bit busy around here from time to time, but thankfully Don pitches in to help. My grand daughter, Donya, decided I should keep a blog of life down on the farm. Many funny, some interesting, and a lot of just plain boring stuff. You are welcome to come visit us from time to time. |
