| Introduction | I grew up in Boise, ID, moved to Seattle, WA to go to school at the U of WA. I graduated with a degree in Math, started a career in the software industry as a Database Designer, and after 14 years changed my career choice to a high school Math Teacher. I swam competitively for 10 years as a kid and still enjoy sports. I've competed in 3 triathlons (1 on a team as the swimmer and 2 individual competitions). I'd like to complete another triathlon some day. I enjoy working with kids and seeing them learn about math and the world around them. It's always exciting when someone has struggled with something and the lightbulb moment occurs. |
