| Introduction | Today, technology can seem overwhelming in our lives; from social media, smartphones, and laptops, one can quickly lose focus and become digitally overloaded. Individuals must understand that we are in an information society. The more we know about information technology, the more effectively and productively we can use these resources for our purposes. My name is Ricardo Garibay. I am an Army veteran who served four years of active duty. I am a retired Community Corrections Officer (Probation Officer) form Washington State. I am grateful for the opportunity to attain a Bachelor of Science in Cyber and Data Security Technology. The reasons for choosing a degree in Information Technology are the great employment opportunities, career growth, and great pay. After completing my degree, I want to attain a job as an entry-level Cyber Security Analyst after graduating with my degree. Until then, I will share with you the knowledge I have and will continue to learn about information technology. |
| Interests | I believe balancing work, life, and school will be my biggest challenge—primarily because life is unpredictable. I release stress through daily exercise: weight training, hiking, and running. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family, friends, and two dogs, who help keep me humble and grounded. |
