| Introduction | David’s interest in environmental issues stems from his work, mainly in China and other parts of the Asia Pacific, on Due Diligence and Project Auditing whereby a significant business line was devised and implemented under his leadership. The services has been embraced and utilized by well known investment banks, private equity firms, multi-national corporations and developers. Most notably China Vanke – China’s largest. This business line, a major source of revenue for David’s division can document a significant improvement to date, over 200 construction sites across China. David is running for the legislative Council on one major theme that professionals in the Architectural, Planning and Surveying fields must speak out and demand real action, not half hearted lip service, from the Hong Kong Government to incorporate green sustainable features in all buildings within Hong Kong, if necessary by legislation. David has been the major driver for Green and sustainable initiatives within the firm including membership of USGBC and adopting the ISO14001 accreditation. Privately he is a firm believer in green practices e.g. not owning a car and walks to work. |
