| Introduction | I am a biology teacher who likes to travel and have spent half of my career living and teaching in Spain, Portugal, and Botswana. I have also travelled to a number of interesting places on university and World Challenge Expeditions including Ecuador, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Malaysia. This year I have opted to take a year's contract teaching in Kazakhstan and will be living in Shymkent down in the south of the country. Essentially this blog is aimed at charting my experiences as I get to grips with a language and culture that are unfamiliar to me. Wish me luck! |
