| Introduction | Just an ordinary guy who loves to everything to do with the sport of triathlon. After competing in the sport of triathlon for a number of years in the super sprint events, one Julian "Captain Crank It!" convinced my to compete in my first half Ironman in Shep 2006.. The only way to describe my first half ironman was hell. 42C, 100m visibility through the smoke filled roads. I didnt eat a pain sandwich that day - i ate 100 of them! Anyone would think that I would have been turned off the sport from that day forward - WRONG! It only served to fuel my passion and desire in the sport of Ironman and I now look forward to competing in my first full distance Ironman in the 2009 Ironman Switzerland. Ironman is not a sport for the tame or undedicated.. but it is a sport that almost anyone can compete in if you have the drive and determination! It is a sport that turns ordinary people into extraordinary! This is the story of my road to Switzerland and beyond... DETERMINATION DEFIES DEFEAT! |
