| Introduction | I am 17 years old, and I live with type 1 diabetes everyday of my life, ever since January 24, 2006. It can be extremely tough at times, and I have days where I just want to crawl into a hole and hide. The highs and lows are an everyday thing, but I have gotten use to it, and I manage my diabetes to the best of my ability. Some people think its weird to give shots, prick your finger, give a bolus, and wear a pump. And ya know what, it might be a weird life to some people, but it's my life, and I know I'm not the only one. Type 1 diabetes is a 24/7/365 disease. It never sleeps, or takes a vacation/ break. It's always there... Some people might look at it like the worst possible thing, but I look at it as a challenge. So I have diabetes... BIG DEAL!? I am still me, and I am one determined type 1, who is NOT going to let diabetes stand in my way! So I will be here, living my life...Waiting On A cure |
