Introduction	Himalayan by heart , I live in the beautiful town of kullu in western Himalayas . Being a local, I have a different perspective of these mountains. A lot of things come into play when I start exploring its length and breadth. Faith and beliefs are a few of them. I have spent my life with its folklores and myths. we have read a lot about these lands, but mostly from point of view of visitors. I don't see these landscapes with amusement as they are homely and give a sense of comfort for someone like me . Even then, exploring its vast stretches , brings me face to face with its various aspects ,hitherto unknown to me. Many of my preconceptions break and reform in this journey. I keep travelling with my camera and backpack , analyzing the realities in the light of my life long learnings , capturing the moments and trying to document them.
