Introduction | Fig+Sage is a collaboration of two sisters who grew up on the Central Coast of California, who until adulthood were enemies until becoming allies and great friends. We share a passion for the more natural things in life, thanks to our Mother, who was more inclined to treat our wounds with tea tree oil than to rush us to a doctor and whom we inherited a desire for natural food, skin care and alternative medicine. Our Father passed down to us his tenacity for researching topics he is passionate about rather than believing the hype. The combination of the two resulted in an obsession-of-sorts for discovering the very best products for ourselves, our families, our friends and now with you! This site is dedicated to pure, natural, organic products & eco-friendly finds for you, your guy/girl, your baby, your pet and your home. Have questions, suggestions, just want to say hey or you are a company who would like to send us a product to review, email us at hello(at)figandsage(dot)com! Take Good Care, S+E |
Interests | We DO: -Our research. -Use the products ourselves before sharing our review with you. -Realize that there are no regulating standards for the Personal Care industry (which we are passionate about) & believe consumers should know what they put in & on their body so they can make informed decisions. We DON'T: -Believe that all (so called) "natural" products are created equal. -Think it's honest or fair when a company slaps the word "organic" or "natural" on its product and only includes a miniscule amount of it or none at all (aka "greenwashing"), -Think products should contain toxic ingredients (PEGS, parabens, 1, 4-Dioxane, artificial color or fragrance, Propylene Glycol, oh, and the list goes on...). Our desire is to highlight products & companies we feel are doing the right thing and creating exceptionally pure & healthy products. Safe & effective products are out there & we find pleasure in discovering & sharing them with you. |
