Introduction | As you can see from the picture, there are lots of miles on this carcass, most of them interesting and exciting, a few I wish I had done differently. Even so, after a twenty year career as a teacher (band, orchestra, jazz ensemble) and then a second twenty year career as a pastor, this old carcass "ain't nearly done." In 1955 I learned to tune and repair pianos and used the skill to supplement our income while our five kids were growing up. And now, here I am, having the time of my life tuning, repairing, adjusting and servicing pianos in Northern New Mexico. After an email to a friend about my adventures, she suggested this blog and that I should become the "Tuna" man. So here I am, starting this blog, promising nothing more important than what's on my mind: religion, politics, music, pianos, gettin' old, a few triumphs, whatever. Enjoy. By the way, my real name is Jim Beinke. The name is German, the ei is pronounced as a long i, the e on the end is long e. |
