Introduction	I work as a DTP artist for a major media company in South Africa. I usually spend my days creating adverts for newspapers and on the odd occassion will do an illustration or 2. I studied art at high school and its a passion thats stayed with me through out the years in one form or another. Ultimately I would like to work some day as a full time illustrator whether for a company or on a freelance basis.
Interests	Comic & concept art, drawing, digital painting, graphic design
Favorite movies	I am definitely an action junkie, and I love most sci-fi and fantasy stuff. Star Wars would be an obvious favourite as well as The Lord of the Rings. Judge Dredd just for the concept art as well as Chronicles of Riddick. lately I have been watching some stand up comedy and have 3 shows of Chris Rock, a bit rude but certainly relevent and funny. Anyone who is having a bad day should check his stuff out, its quite a "pick me up"
Favorite music	Mostly rock, people like Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi and Linkin Park. Also U2 and one or two songs from Motorhead. I find this type of music puts me my most creative mood when I am painting. Lately I have been listening to a "Gratest Elvis Hits" cd which makes for a pleasant change of pace as well as some Leona Lewis and of course The Pussy Cat Dolls.
Favorite books	Since a young age I have enjoyed comic books, mostly the ones from DC. As of late due to the rise in quality book stores in Cape Town there is quite a variety of graphic novels to choose from. Currently my books of choice has to be the Digital art and Manga "how to draw books", which is not only a good read but also a wealth of information for someone like myself looking for tips on art and drawing.
