| Introduction | Music runs through my heart, mind, and soul. I have been deeply connected to the power of music for as long as I can remember and began writing songs at a young age. As a teenager I performed some of them at a few different churches, evoking a response from those who listened that made me start to believe that I had something to say from my heart that meant something to others. Today, after many years of being unsure of how I really wanted to use my musical talents, God has shown me, without a doubt, that I am a vessel and that I have to keep writing songs, complete this album and share it with the world or at least mine... This album, with the title track "Broken Vessel" is a true sharing of the last couple years of my life. The good and bad, dark and light. Some songs have a clear gospel message and some songs are written out of angst and or sheer emotion I was feeling at the time whether it be "love" pain, sadness, anger etc...I truly hope that you will listen to my music and be inspired to join me on this journey! |
| Interests | This blog is a place where my friends, family, (and maybe even fans) both old and new could come and be a part of what I'm doing and keep me going, I am self producing my first album "Broken Vessel" and would greatly any financial support any of you feel led to give. This year, I will be making a music video, doing photo shoots, designing cd jackets, and traveling to promote the album so there is a great deal of expense involved. if you are interested in giving financially please just send me an email and let me know! | Favorite Music | Classical music and choral music by both past and present composers as well as the "oldies but goodies"- Anything written by Cole Porter and Gershwin especially! As far as modern day music, I listen to a little of everything. My favorite artists include: Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Damien Rice, Peter Gabriel, Regina Spektor, A Fine Frenzy, Brandon Heath, Leonard Coehn, Mary J Blige, Lauryn Hill, Aaron Neville, Joni Mitchell! Mumford and Sons, Boyz II Men, anything Gospel or R&B. |
