| Introduction | I am a managing partner and co-founder of Group Mind Films, w/ John Berka. GMF is dedicated to creating ensemble-based, honest comedies shot entirely in Chicago; comedies with no jokes. I improvise for a living and has been performing without a script for the better part of the past 20 years. I am a proud faculty member of The Second City and ahave also taught at iO Chicago, ComedySportz Chicago, Illinois State University, the New Orleans Improv Festival, the C-U Improv Festival and the Chicago Improv Festival's Teen Comedy Week. With The Riot Act, a company I found with my wife Laura, we use improv to drive behavior change within the corporate culture. I teach improv to people from every walk of life, from beginning students to executives at Fortune 100 companies, including PepsiCo, International Trucking, and McDonalds. I've performed festivals such as the Del Close Marathon, the New Orleans Improv Festival, the Chicago Fringe Festival, and the C-U Improv Festival. I have been a guest performer at Boom Chicago, the Second City, the Second City ETC, the Second City Northwest, and Blackout. |
