| Introduction | In June 2005, I set out on a drive in San Francisco that would forever change my life. While passing through the city, I noticed a man crying on the street. Though I never interacted with him, my motivation to hand him something as a token of love and connection birthed the idea for HEART IS HOT. Prior to the actual product used now, I purchased a few small glass hearts to have on hand for any moment of inspiration. Upon seeing a distressed young woman one day, I knew that the time had come to participate in the journey I was about to introduce to the world. So touched by the gesture, the woman fell to her knees on a busy San Francisco corner and told me I had just saved her life because"she was contemplating suicide." This episode provided the final inspiration to create the personalized, etched glass hearts and website that form the foundation of my business today. |
