Introduction	I am a 3rd Dan Black Belt with the World Tae Kwon Do Association, an organization founded by the late Grandmaster Duk Sung Son. My instructor is Dr. Paul Amodeo, 5th Dan. Paul, myself and 4th Dan Jim Fisher run the SUNY Cobleskill Tae Kwon Do Club on the campus in Cobleskill, NY. We teach Chung Do Kwan style traditional non-contact Korean Karate. This style was created in 1944 by Grandmaster Won Kuk Lee who had attained a 3rd or 4th degree black belt in Shotokan directly from O Sensei Funakoshi. He then went to China and studied with the masters there and returned to Korea to create the Chung Do Kwan, or Blue Wave School. Many of our forms are nearly identical to their Shotokan predecessors but with a unique style unto themselves. This blog is dedicated to the preservation of the history, tradition and techniques of Chung Do Kwan style tae kwon do (Korean karate.) Utz!
