Introduction	Hello, I am not a runner but trying in my 43rd year to do a bit, see what my body can get up to and wanted to chart my progress or not depending on how it goes. The goal is the Great North Run 2012. Only ever run 6 k for Run the World in the 1980s and walked most of that. Keep the faith.
Interests	Laughing, eating, trying to keep fit, trying to behave ( role model for child..?) trying out new activities usually very badly, occasionally baking a cake and having to sit down for a while after.
Favorite movies	Just watched Withnail and I last night when I could not sleep so it has to be up there. Sideways - another booze movie so better say Napleon Dynamite. Bullit - love the McQueen.
Favorite music	Too diverse to list but NOT power ballads or warblers of the Carey/Dion variety or even the Burke/Lewis Xfactor sort.For running, foo fighters or something fast. Sis loves black gold of the sun on a nice day.
Favorite books	The Rattlebag, The outsider.
