Introduction I am a native Montanan. I graduated from high school in 1966 and entered the US Army, attended jump school in December 1966. I was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC in January 1967. In September 1967 I went to Vietnam and served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade until April 1969 when I returned to the US and was discharged. Attended college at Montana State University. I was a professional firefighter from September 1971, retiring as a Captain after 24 years service. For ten years I was a member of the Montana ARNG, serving as the Regimental Fire Support Sergeant for Headquarters, 163rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. Denise and I were married in August 1971. We have three grown children and seven grandchildren. For fourteen years I have been an architectual archives and records administrator for OFS at the university (as of October 1, 2013 I am retired from the university). Since my latest retirement I have occupied my time painting watercolor landscapes (painted with genuine Montana water). My interest in writing and digital photography inspired this blog. Leave a comment if you are so inclined - I enjoy reading them.
