Introduction	Welcome to BE(ets) AWARE! I'm Erin and I am a Type 1 diabetic. I wanted to start this website as not only an outlet for me to express my experiences in living with Type 1 Beets, but also as a tool for anyone that is looking for Beets support. I am by no means a doctor or professional, so please consult your doctor for your specific needs, but I hope that you can take away from this website the fact that you're not alone in the Beets world! I like to pretend that I'm a great writer and that millions of people will benefit from my sometimes sarcastic, maybe humorous ramblings. I hope you enjoy reading my stories and feel free to comment or contact me! Meaning of BE(ets) AWARE: What I want to do is raise awareness of Diabetes and help people that have this disease and also their supporters. Calling Diabetes "the beets" is something my sister and I came up with to make light of a sometimes serious disease, and the name stuck. :)
