Introduction I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Journalism. Early on, I did some newspaper and magazine writing and photography before landing a job working in the publicity departments of both Turfway Park and River Downs. Eventually, I took a full time position at Turfway Park as communications coordinator. My position allowed me to do everything from working with the media and planning big parties to hosting handicapping seminars and doing some graphic design. In 1996, I co-founded ReRun, Inc., a non-profit Thoroughbred adoption program--the first of it's kind in the country. Shortly after, I was offered a position with Breeders' Cup Ltd. in Lexington, KY. The position was basically the same one that I left at Turfway, and I stayed there for two years. By then, ReRun was growing by leaps and bounds, and I left Breeders' Cup to concentrate on my position as president and executive director of the program, and champion the cause of ex-racehorses. In 2006, I turned over the reins of ReRun and opened U Dirty Dog, a Pet & Farm Watch Service. Working solely for myself has allowed me to slow down a bit and enjoy life on the farm and at the racetrack.
