IntroductionI'm a Senior Drill Sergeant of a Basic Combat Training platoon at Ft. Benning, GA. Before I put on the most uncomfortable piece of headgear the Army has offered since the Ridgeway cap, I was a Broadcast Public Affairs Chief. As a broadcaster, I've been stationed with American Forces Korea Network in Seoul and Uijongbu, Korea, the American Forces Network in Heidelberg, Germany, and Soldiers Radio and Television in Alexandria, VA. Those three assignments allowed me to report from the Korean DMZ, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Iraq, and the tsunami-ravaged areas of Thailand and Sri Lanka. Describing Drill Sergeant duty as a change of pace for me is like calling Bill Gates “well off.” I’m a work in progress as a drill – you can follow the ups and down of the job right here.

Favorite moviesGood Night and Good Luck was AWESOME, and I'm waiting like a smackhead waiting for a fix for "Superman Returns." On TV, I refuse to miss "Deadwood," "The Sopranos," or "The West Wing."
Favorite musicToo much to mention. There are about 6 XM Radio stations that remain on in my car...
Favorite booksW.E.B. Griffin's series on the military -- "The Brotherhood of War" and "The Corps," and his Philadelphia Police saga "The Badge of Honor." I'm enjoying his newest series in over a decade "Presidential Agent."

The children are waiting! Please tell them the story about the bald frog with the wig:

I'm sorry... the MPAA has labeled THAT story "Adults Only." Perhaps when you're a little older....
