GenderFemale
OccupationWriter (political plays, children' books, etc.) & Writing Blogger (comments, essays, reviews and creative writings)
LocationOxford, United Kingdom
IntroductionWelcome to my blog! I'm a political scientist (BA, MA, and almost Ph.D. - if I had a job/scholarship to finish my looong research) who loves different writing experiences from academic writing to skits, essays, to children's books and political drama. This Writing Blog was given a lot of thought and it was born in Oxford-when I passed from practicing on paper to practicing online. I combine here creative with technical writing, the focus being on three writing formats (comment, essay, and review) and on three realms (cultural, political, and sport); writings in other formats are classified as 'uncategorized'. You're invited to give a thought to my point of view, even if our points of view may differ. Please feel welcome to comment online! And let's connect on Twitter @LaiWriter and/or on Instagram at Laura_Lai_Writer! I'd love this Writing Blog to add a cheer-up spice to our sometimes stressful daily life. Enjoy!
InterestsWriting and creative writing workshops; cinema & theater; museums' visitor & conferences/webinars organizer or attendant; (ancient) history& foreign languages; environment.
Favorite moviesI love watching both cinema films and TV series (e.g. 'Colombo', 'Matlock', 'Rex', etc.); animation films and black and white movies! I have a particular preference for movies based on legends or on researched true stories (e.g. 'The Queen', 'Titanic', 'Schindler's List', 'La Rafle', etc.).
Favorite musicI love all types of music from gospel to pop and Latino, less heavy rock. While I work and/or after a hard working day I enjoy listening to classical music, jazz, or relaxing instrumental music with birds sounds.
Favorite booksLiterature realism is my very favorite (e.g. Balzac, Chekhov, Dickens, Flaubert, Gogol, etc.). I also like reading the memoirs of those who made/changed history. I love reading a theater play next to a cup of coffee, as well as reading and experimenting from my collection of cooking books.
