IntroductionAs a little girl, I always dreamed of having a large family. I also had a special place in my heart for helping orphans and street kids. When I was 17, I left the US for the first time when my family traveled to Russia to pick up our new baby, Emma Elizabeth. Since I was 20 years old (2002) I’ve had the immense privilege and responsibility of directing Casa de Amor Children’s Homes for abandoned and orphaned babies, working with street kids on the side. Since July 2004 I’ve lived in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and I’m still here nine years later—but there have been some BIG changes! In July 2012, Jacob Beaty moved from his cabin in Washington to the big city of Cochabamba…and four months later we were married in a beautiful ceremony attended by all the Casa de Amor kids and staff. On Valentine’s Day 2013 we found out that we were already expecting our first baby! In March, we began the paperwork process to adopt our three oldest boys at CDA, something we knew God had called us to do even before marriage. My new personal blog “The Beatys in Bolivia” will be a place for me to journal and share stories and pictures as we begin our “instant family”!
