| Introduction | There is an adage that says, "When the student is ready, the teacher will come". I was hurting and not handling well my eldest sister’s diagnosis of breast cancer. She was only 37 and I couldn’t fathom why this terrible disease attacked her, especially at such a relatively young age. Her illness and subsequent death were catalysts into my search for deeper meanings into the whys of life. My fun-loving attitude of having a good time and getting all you can get like a great wall was crumbling. I was in a state of confusion and no longer felt invincible. And as the old adage says, when the student is ready, the teacher will come and I was in great need. That’s when some great souls came into my life. What they said were ideas and thoughts that for me were steeped in truths and I want to share them with you. Maybe they will be of use to you as well. |
