| Introduction | The term "postal history" is considered to have been first used by stamp dealer and auctioneer Robson Lowe. Lowe described postal historians as "humanity researchers" and paved the way for studies in this field. In fact, postal history has become a specialization among collectors. This specialty includes numerous materials such as postmarks, envelopes, letters, and postcards, as well as various postal rates, the delivery of mail, transportation routes, and more. Some researchers have focused on more specific topics within their collections and have conducted studies in these areas. For example, aerophilately (the study of air mail), maritime mail, railway mail, and zeppelin mail. My collection, on the other hand, focuses on photography. The main topics studied here include photographers, photography companies, photography studios, and photography publishers. It brings me great joy to shed light on the history of photography from a philatelic perspective through my collection. |
