IntroductionBLOGS: LEARNING TO WATERCOLOR: The summer that I turned 70 I decided to pursue my first talent (art) in earnest. Watercolor is both one of the easiest and most difficult of mediums. Learning this new medium calls upon all my resources. Oddly enough the process stirs up within me reflections upon life. At this age perhaps there is something of that gift called "wisdom." My plan in this blog is to share the process--making it a more visual than verbal blog. JULIAN'S WINDOW: This was my first blog before I had any idea what I would do with a blog. I was ordained to the priesthood on Julian of Norwich's feast day in 1988. Years before the Internet I had envisioned the idea of conversing with the world through the window of her cell. It was natural that I would use that idea when the opportunity to have a blog emerged. But soon I asked "What on earth can I say that has not already been said?!" However, perhaps there is much to be painted. Images more than words. So, for now I plan to allow Julian's blog to lie fallow. The fact that I keep a regular (word) journal suggests that perhaps I might find words again.
