| Introduction | Although I was born in Illinois, my family moved to NC when I was just a year old. I am the second oldest in a family of 6 kids:3 boys and 3 girls. I grew up in Wake Co., attending school at Myrtle Underwood, Daniels, Broughton, and Enloe.(I was in the first group of students to be bused in Wake Co.) I met my future husband at Enloe! I graduated from Longwood College in Virginia, then received my Master's at UNC. I have one daughter, Kathleen, who just began her freshman year at UNC this fall. We are huge fans: I've missed only 2 home football games in the past 30 years! And I've taught at Apex Middle during all of those years! |

| Favorite music | I really like all kinds of music.During the Christmas holdiays, we traveled to Nashville, TN, for the Music City Bowl. We toured the Country Music Hall of Fame and attended the Grand Ole Opry. I learned a lot about country music! I have a cousin in the Hall of Fame-HeeHaw star Roy Clark! |
| Favorite books | Right now I'm reading William and Kate, A Royal Love Story, about the Prince of Wales and his upcoming marriage in April. I'm learning about all things British! |
