| Introduction | This is a blog about the most unexpected waking -up in the middle of my life. I am an ordinary middle-aged, middle-class working mother of two who likes to move between her daily activities of bringing children to Little League and gymnastics, while simultaneously contemplating her place in the planetary cosmos. I began this blog in 2014 to reflect upon my own human journey of investigation into the depth and breadth of what it means to be whole and fully human. This exploration has led me down all sorts of diverse pathways as I continue to aspire to gain greater insight, wisdom, understanding, and compassion for the human condition- including my own. It has also led me to confirm this truth spoken by the poet Mary Oliver that: "A life is much richer with a spiritual part to it. And I think nothing is more interesting. So I cling to it." My hope is that you who is reading this blog, may find comfort and strength in your own human journey, as I have found in mine. May it be so. -Claire |
