IntroductionEricka Parkinson Kilbourne grew up in the Chicago suburbs, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church. She is a graduate of DePauw University and Princeton Theological Seminary. Between college and seminary, Ericka served with the United Methodist young adult americorps volunteers in both Philadelphia Mississippi (Choctaw Reservation) and Kansas City, Missouri. She has most recently served for seven years as the Associate Pastor at Richland Presbyterian Church, and has now served for a year and a half as Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Michigan City, Indiana. She has served on the boards of the Michigan Organizing Project, Richland Area PFLAG, PUSH (People United to Secure Housing), and the Open Doors. In Michigan City, she is the Secretary of the DIRC (Drop In Resource Center) Board. Ericka, her husband Mike, and their young daughter, Hannah Rose, live in Michigan City, where they find joy in building and sustaining community.
