About me

Introduction	I am a stay-at-home mum of 3 wonderful daughters, aged 15,14 and 9. I have been married to my husband for 16 years. I was born in Southampton and moved 'up north' at the age of 13. I lived in Burnley through my teen years (wouldn't live those years again!). Then I got married and moved to Chorley! I have battled (sometimes winning, sometimes losing) with depression since I was a teenager - although it was not diagnosed until I was 23 - and I have learnt many valuable lessons and met lots of fantastic people on this journey. I have also learnt many lessons as a mother trying to raise 3 very different daughters, the main lessons being Patience, Tolerance and a Thick Skin (for all the stroppy words to bounce off). I have also had to learn Perseverance as I have had to fight to get help for 1 of my daughters who has Aspergers Syndrome (an Autistic Spectrum Disorder). This has opened up a whole new world for me and I am grateful for this opportunity to learn and understand more about the world seen through a different perspective. I have had times when I wished I could run away or curl up into a ball and hide but I am still here and still fighting and hope I will never give up.
