| Introduction | Early in my life, I travelled in books and words, fascinated by remote and mysterious places. Through various turns of events, I eventually started travelling myself and since then never stopped exploring. To quench my thirst for travel, I have had occupations that enabled me to discover new countries and people. Today, I continue to wander off the beaten paths, exploring the world and human nature, making new experiments along my trail. When travelling or just strolling the streets of my hometown, I find joy in losing myself in places, languages and in the layered meanings that lie beneath the surface of appearances. Going beyond imagery, I try to grasp the hidden reality of our world, a geographical and emotional journey seizing touching details of humanity in situations one may fail to notice when just passing-by. Social aestheticism or figurative humanism, I hope to share an alternate lens: one that invites others to see the world not only as it is, but as it might be felt in its most revealing moments. |
