| Introduction | I'm turning 40 this year (2009) and was tired of not being able to buy clothes in a regular store. An aquaintance had a lap band done and I started thinking and researching it. After many tests and appointments, I had my surgery on 19 May 2009! I am looking forward to being more active and enjoying my life more! I am a full time graduate assistant while I'm working on my Ph.D. in literacy education. My husband and I just celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary in June and we have a 7 year old son. My husband is in the Army (which is why we live in Kansas) and will deploy again this fall to Iraq. As a family, we enjoy geocaching (check out my other blog www.diecast64.blogspot.com and www.geocaching.com) I can't wait to shop for a "regular" size in a regular store! :) |
