| Introduction | VRMan-Virtual Reality Man. That's been my nickname since the 1980's! I earned this nickname because I have always been pushing the envelope and leading the way when it came to developing -=3D Virtual Reality=- Realtime virtual worlds for demonstrations and games. VRMan3D.com is my home, and home of the world famous, award winning 3D Accelerated Screensavers by VRMan. I was a consultant for Digital Equipment Corp and developed 3D 'VisualReality' (1st 3d hardware accel app in the industry, and shipped with the very successful Digital Celebris GL line of PC's.) It allowed users to explore a gorgeous 3D VR world and access bundled software. This program ran blazing fast and was way ahead of its time. I worked closely with Matrox (mfg of 1st 3D gfx accel hardware) and then later on with NEC, worked directly with the makers of the 1st EXCELLENT 3D gfx accel board, 3DfX Voodoo! So anyhow, while developing cutting edge 3D virtual reality applications for Digital and NEC, I learned a lot (true virtual reality, stereo 3D (true depth perception) head tracking (using VR HMDs), more history later. www.vrman3d.com Thanks very much for visiting! -=VRMan=- |
