| Introduction | Texas Proud, born in Houston; raised in West Texas, returned to Houston area in 1968. My Dad and his brother Ed were both in the construction industry for most of their careers. I learned a great number of skills from these two master craftsmen and worked in the trade for a decade before turning to public service. I am now retired, after twenty-five years of service (1978-2003) with the Sugar Land Fire Department. I live in Brenham and pursue a variety of interests that include; woodworking, luthiery and bladesmithing. I enjoy a wide variety of music but really enjoy any thing related to the blues. Currently, I am learning to play the guitar after years of procrastination and having a ball. A Christian and member of Brenham's First Baptist Church. |
