Introduction	A Man Amid The Wreckage is a writing, drawing and performance project by Christopher Hall and Alexander Kelly. Chris and Alex make films and performances. They tour internationally and have had their work shown at film festivals and on TV across the UK and Europe. But what they have always really wanted to do is write and draw comics. And now they are. A Man Amid The Wreckage will be their debut graphic novel. The problem of course is that knowing a lot about comics doesn’t mean that you know anything about producing graphic novels yourself. For Off The Shelf 2008, they’ve got 3 days to produce the first chapter. They’ve got the idea - an ‘End of the World’ story that combines their favourite themes about books, numbers, linguistics and out of date technology. Join them as they translate synopsis to script, script to layout and layout to finished page.
