About me

Introduction Cherisa Terry was raised in southwestern Missouri where she began her dance training at the age of 8, taking tap, jazz, ballet and tumbling classes. At the age of 12, she moved to Branson, Missouri, and began performing in the Jim Stafford Show as a dancing chicken! As a teenager, Cherisa attended summer ballet workshops at Brigham Young University, the Joffrey mid-west program and the American Ballet Theatre New York program. In her junior and senior years of high school, Miss Terry performed with BYU’s Youth Artist Ballet Company. Cherisa found her love for creative movement and modern dance while attending college at BYU and SUU. During the winter of 2009, Cherisa participated in the ArtsBridge America project teaching 5th grade classes earth science with creative movement. She has completed her course work for BS in Dance Education at SUU. Miss Terry enjoys hiking, swimming, biking and running, and loves little animals.
