| Introduction | I've been in education - public and private - for over 22 years. First as a teacher (in all levels K-6), then as a curriculum coordinator and program director, then back again to the classroom for another 7 years to teach 1st then 4th grade (my favorite!). I currently serve as the Literacy Coach in the same school where I've been teaching. This is my third year as Coach. Rainbow Elementary is in Madison, AL, the home of rocket scientists and all sorts of engineers. Great City! I have a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and received National Board Certification in 2008. My current "big idea" is all about building capacity, facilitating growth, managing change, and doing it all with respect, love, and even joy! It can happen :-) I've been married to my wonderful and supportive husband for 34 years. We have two grown children and SIX adorable grandchildren ranging in age from 12 months to 13 years.
