| Introduction | Yes, most people are correct in assuming I am a Christian, but I am not perfect. I am searching for answers to questions most Christians believe I should have answered already. Such as: Is there a God? What does God really mean? What does this God I believe in want from me? What is the difference between what God wants from me, and what various other men want from me? Is there an afterlife, and if so, what will it be? How should I view holy texts? Can I respect other men and their teachings if I think they are wrong? I hope we can honestly think on these things, on the complexities of our lives, and how the holy and the mundane fit into all of this. I know many (or most) will disagree with me in my conclusions: in fact, when I look back over past discussions I have had, I am convinced that I was wrong at that time, and I come across things all the time that convince me to change my mind on things even today. I am seeking people who will, with intellectual honesty and open minds, try to find Jehovah with me. |
