Introduction | Full-time artist living and working in downtown Manhattan. As a post-modernist. I consider myself a colorist who works with primarily the ideas of chaos and order. My work has been shown across the country including in Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, Brooklyn, Charleston, Chattanooga, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Miami, Minneapolis, Mobile, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco as well as, Barcelona, Kyoto, London, Montreal, Tokyo and Venice Italy. In 1984-1987 I was lead designer for Brindisi. In 1984-1985 I designed swimwear for Nora Nash. In 1986, “10 Year Alumnus Award” from Southern Institute. In 1986, I studied Visual Somatometry with Dr. H. I. (Helen) Douty of Auburn University. In 1985-1987, I worked with Willi Smith (Williwear)in design and fabric selection. From 1993-2001, I owned and operated AGNES, which opened its doors with a mission statement to raise public awareness about various social issues. From 1994-1996 I was publisher and editor of Alabama Art Monthly. I sometimes curate exhibitions. I am currently making my art by painting, sculpting and sewing. |
