Introduction	I started this blog in October 2008, never made a post and then forgot all about it. Imagine my surprise when I decided to start a blog today, March 5, 2012, went to blogspot.com and it brought up my own blog! Oh well. I am starting this blog as an experiment to see if the thoughts that come to me while I'm cooking are worth writing down. I often think of things I'd like to talk about while I cook in my kitchen, so we'll see. For anyone reading this who does not know me, here is a short introduction. I am a homeschooling mother of 7 children, ages 11 to 24 as of March 13, 2012. I grew up in Istanbul, Turkey, where I learned to love Mediterranean cuisine, and the art of cooking from Hassan, the man my mother hired to cook dinner for us. Hassan was a young man with a gentle soul, and he loved to cook. . My mother did not like to cook, and I think I learned from Hassan that kitchens are happy places. I have now been cooking for family, friends and customers for almost 25 years. We recently moved to Oklahoma City where I am beginning my cooking business once again.
