| Introduction | Hi! I'm Jessica Salvesen and I teach first grade at Madison School in District 181. I have my Masters in Reading Instruction and am a certified reading specialist. I also have my National Board Certification in the area of Literacy. This is my third year teaching in Hinsdale, but my tenth year of teaching. I've spent all ten years teaching first grade. I love first grade because I truly believe that it's the year where all of the magic happens! I've been married for ten years and we have two boys and one girl. My oldest started Kindergarten last year so it's been a new experience for me to be on the parent side of things for a change! I am also trying REALLY hard not to be "that teacher mom". I love spending time with my family and I'm always looking for new, fun things for us to do together (because who knows how long they'll love it as much as I do!). Fun Facts: I love exclamation points! I'm vegetarian but sometimes swing pescatarian, and I don't use spoons (ever). |
