Introduction Following in the footsteps of his father, Jono always knew he wanted to be a chef. He trained at Thames Valley College, Slough, UK and completed his apprenticeship at The French Horn Hotel, Sonning, UK. Jono is now a formally trained Chef of 19 years. Having spent 10 of those years as a Superyacht Chef, doing both Charter and Private, he is often touted as “One of the best known Chefs in the Yachting Industry.” (The Crew Report). He is equally as happy cooking on a Sail boat heeling at 30 degrees as on a Motor Yacht (though its much easier to make a soufflé on the latter). Some of Jono’s achievements include 2nd in a division of the Chef de Concourse, Antigua 2001. He is the regular ‘Galley Gourmet’ columnist for The Crew Report, October 2007 to present.
